The Sharing Economy

The sharing economy (also called—or including—the collaborative economy, peer economy, access economy, on-demand economy, and gig economy) is vast and growing exponentially.

Everything old is new again, with the ability to trade, barter, or just remove intermediaries to exchange and/or share goods and services. The Internet and advances in technology have helped bring this economic system back en vogue. In the current sharing economy, not only can you save money on the receiving end, but you can earn some extra cash on the giving end. There are a few companies that keep popping up, bringing new efficiencies to the market and disrupting the status quo. Although we aren’t endorsing any particular ones (not yet – give us time to try them all out), it’s good to know about these choices when price shopping.

Have you used any of these? Please share your experiences by using our Contact form. (This is the sharing economy after all . . .)
